Problems playing AVI's ?? Some codec error ?

Unfortunately Windows 2000 / Windows XP don't (by default) play AVI files.... I suppose microsoft hasnt bought that company out yet. Soooo to help you out I have downloaded ZoomPlayer from inmatrix. Its a tiny player (600k) that plays avi's. Try it for a while - If you like it play $10 if not.. uninstall it - either way you see the videos !!

Before you install it see point 1 below !!!!

  1. Online Latest Version - Goto the inmatrix page and scroll to the bottom
  2. One I downloaded - ZoomPlayer

When its downloaded -

  • Install the application accepting the default settings
  • Open the application (start programs / zoom player / zoom player ) ..It looks pretty hectic when you open it, but don't be scared ...
  • just download an avi file to the desktop.. (right click over vid1 / then (left) click target as /  then save to your desktop)
  • then simply DRAG the AVI file from the desktop onto the window (of the Zoom player)
I don't think I can put it any simplier than that - if the instructions are beyond you ... get in touch with your favourite relation who knows about computers - except me, I am babysitting all the time!

Point 1:

I absolutely take NO responsibility for any 'virus' or 'damage' the installation of this tiny player causes to your system. Please Please Please don't blame me if your computer falls over after you install it. I have tested it on my machine and it worked fine - its very small and as far as I can see it doesnt contain Adware or Spyware - again please DON'T  install it if you have any doubts - or ask the opinion of someone you trust !
